For May’s Spotlight on Success, Building Industry Hawaii features Constructors Hawaii Inc. for the completion of the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum and Park. The groundbreaking took place in January 2019 and the project was completed in October 2020. The 10,0000-sq-ft museum at Pearl Harbor near the WWII Pacific National Monument and the USS Arizona Memorial and USS Bowfin exhibit involved a complete renovation and 2,000-sq-ft extension in two phases.
“Relocating the artifacts, including a submarine rescue chamber and several missiles, are things I don't think I'll have a chance to repeat in my career,” said Colin Yoshiyama, President of Constructors Hawaii.
