Every year since 2001, Constructors Hawaii Inc., has been involved with restoration projects at Shangri La for the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art. Projects included the restoration of the rooftop Jali Pavilion and the restoration of the Mughal Suite. Both projects received Preservation Honor Awards from the Historic Hawaii Foundation.
