Albert Yoshiyama, originally from Hawaii Island, “showed up, went to the university here with, really, no money in his pocket,” says his son, Constructors Hawaii Inc. President Colin Yoshiyama. Albert founded Constructors Hawaii Inc. in 1972, concentrating on site work and commercial construction.

Constructors Hawaii Inc. (CHI) recently completed Hale Ola ‘Alua, the Waimanalo Health Center’s (WHC) new $11.7 million clinic. David Thom, CHI’s executive vice president, says “A new larger facility was needed to house outpatient healthcare services for the Waimanalo community and surrounding neighborhoods. Services were designed to accommodate a 30-percent increase in patients that the Center had seen over the past five years.”

Constructors Hawaii Inc. joins the team of WhiteSpace Architects, Hayes Structural Design and PBR Hawaii to develop a strategic master plan and recommendations for the Maunalua Fishpond Heritage Center.
