HomeStreet Bank, Hilo Branch
Client: HomeStreet Bank
Architect: Ferraro Choi
Completion Year: 2017
Size: 2,400 square feet
Construction Cost: $718,000
HomeStreet Bank’s branch office in Hilo, Hawaii, was constructed in association with property manager JLL Hawaii, and architect Ferraro Choi and Associates. The challenge of this project was to build the bank’s new modern branch within the shell of an outdated bank. General contractor Constructors Hawaii Inc. (CHI) worked closely with the architect to update existing mechanical, plumbing, and electrical conditions.
Coordination among HomeStreet Bank’s team in Seattle, Washington, CHI’s crew in Hilo, and construction manager and architect in Honolulu, was critical. This was accomplished by weekly conference calls and regular photo documentation of the jobsite conditions by CHI.
Overcoming the challenge of geographical distance separating the parties, CHI successfully completed the renovation of this new branch bank on schedule and within budget.
