Located on the second floor of the Shops at Dole Cannery is Eye Surgery Center of Hawaii, a one-stop-shop eyecare facility specializing in eye surgeries, including Cataract, Glaucoma, Lasik, Retina and other eye procedures. Constructors Hawaii Inc. (CHI) was hired back in 2011 for their original build out expansion project of 8,352 square feet where we converted the old food court into their Eye Surgery Center.

As a satisfied client, CHI was selected once again as the general contractor together with architect Arthur Y. Mori & Associates to upgrade this state-of-the-art facility to enable them to continue providing maximum quality and efficient service for their patient’s comfort and convenience.

This current project was 4,295 square feet of expansion occupying the adjacent tenant space and 2,075 square feet of renovation to their existing space. The renovation included the addition of their fourth operating room as they continue to expand their medical care service and operations. The Center features a comfortable and spacious reception area, exam, procedure and operating rooms, an employee break room and office space.

The renovation project was completed in April 2021. CHI and Arthur Y. Mori & Associates preserved notable aspects of the layout and room features from the building's original floor plan accentuating its natural lighting and high wooden beams. Updated flooring, and modern furniture and light fixtures were incorporated for a welcoming homestyle addition. The new and lively space incorporates fresh neutral, grey and auburn colors, providing an elegant and calming ambiance. We hope your next eye exam visit gives you a vision of comfort!
